Whilst relatively new on the market, Maurice Lacroix swiss watches are taking their share of the market. The quality of these watches is more than obvious and the innovation of the watchmakers shines through when looking at one of the masterpieces. The mechanical watches are superior in that they have the addition of chronographs, moon phase indicators and retrograde displays as part of their makeup. There is no lack of style and craftsmanship in these classy timepieces.

Generally, watch bracelets do not come custom made and some adjustment is therefore necessary. The bracelet straps can be adjusted at the spring-loaded pin in the bracelet to adjust the watch bracelet. If you need to adjust the watch bracelet the use a cloth, so that if you drop the pin it will not get lost. There should be a place on the watch bracelet that you can insert the pin that will make the strap more comfortable for you. Some watches have screws and for this you will need the correct sized screwdriver to be able to adjust the strap.

A watch strap with not enough holes in it is too big for you. Leather straps often present this problem. Do not try to adjust the leather strap on your own unless you have a leather punch, rather take it to someone who has a leather punch so that the strap is not damaged.

If you have a manual wind watch, you should try to wind it up at the same time of the day. Winding your watch in the morning will ensure that your watch has optimum power during the day, resulting in better timekeeping.

Take off the watch before attempting to win it up. There are two reasons for this: you could break the strap and unnecessary strain is placed on the watch's winding system.

Wind the watch slowly and at a consist ant speed that is slow until you feel the tightening. By over winding the watch you could break or damage the mainspring and some other components.

Watches can sometimes stop for no apparent reason and this is often the case with the cheaper automatic versions, as they do not have a winding stem to start up again. When this happens, gently swing the watch in the formation of an arc and it will start up. Manual wind watches can get started up again by gently turning the winder for a couple of minutes.

The watches can be water resistance and how resistant is indicated either on the watch itself or the packaging of the watch. You will see something like: WR30, this indicates it is water resistant to a depth of 30M. If it says WR200M then it is resistant to a depth of 200M. The depth is not as important so the type of water that the watch is exposed to. Hot, soapy, chlorinated or water with detergents in is bad for the seals of the watch. Clean your watch with clean cool water after exposing your watch to any kind of water.

Magnets could also make your watch magnetized, which could result in strange behavior. If your watch gets discordant after you have worked on a computer or the magnetic seal around the door of a freezer, relax as it can be fixed. A watchmaker will have demagnetizing equipment to sort the trouble in no time.

All watches regardless of whether are inexpensive or costly should be maintained properly. Both quarts and mechanical watches should be maintained and looked after so that they enjoy a long life span. The timepieces are built to last and are durable, particularly if you look after them. You will love your new watches for men.

I have a Maurice Lacroix watch with a single fold deployment leather band. Do you have a clue where to find replacement bands?
